National Nursing Week May 11-17, 2020

The theme for National Nursing Week 2020 is Nurses: A Voice to Lead - Nursing the World to Health.

This year's theme focuses on the true value of nurses to people of the world.

The 2020 Nursing week celebrations will be extra special because the World Heath Organization has designated 2020 as The Year of the Nurse and Midwife. May 12, 2020 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale the founder of modern nursing.

This year's theme Nurses: A Voice to Lead - Nursing the World to Health, demonstrates how nurses are central to addressing a wide range of heath challenges and that nursing is integral to the delivery of health care. Nurses are making invaluable contributions to the health of people globally.
